ERIEZ RevX-E Mach III Eddy Current Separator

The Mach III features a new cantilevered frame design which enables maintenance staff to change the ECS belt in 10 minutes.

The Mach III also has a new rack and pinion splitter adjustment mechanism and direct drive component for more efficient operation, according to Mike Shattuck, Eriez Market Manager Metals Recycling. “This new unit in our Eddy Current Separator line can be used almost continuously because of the modifications we made for the quick belt change-out,” he says.

Designed for separation of nonferrous metals, the RevX-E Mach III is ideally suited for scrap purifying cullet and plastics, and recovered valuable metal from secondary metals and incineration ash, especially the separation of small particles. Units are available in 1, 1.2 and 1.5 meter widths and can be configured with a heavy-duty vibratory feeder, feeder support framework, separation shroud/splitter and controls for turn-key installation.

Eriez also offers three rotor configurations, enabling customers to choose the right model for their application. The ST22 rotor is designed for sorting material 3-15mm, the ST2 handles materials 5-35MM and the LT2 rotor design is applicable for sorting material 25MM or larger.

The RevX-E Mach III features an eccentrically mounted magnetic rotor within a non-conductive larger diameter shell. This eccentric rotor concentrates its eddy current forces into a zone of separation at the end of the belt. “By focusing its field, this design ignores ferrous material in the flow,” explains Shattuck. “The eccentric rotor design reduces long-term wear caused by heated ferrous build-up.”
