B&H INDUSTRIAL Wins ERIEZ Merwin Award

Eriez is pleased to announce that B & H Industrial Products, of Indianapolis, Indiana has won the 2003 Merwin Award. Congratulations to team members Darrell L. Hood, Kevin L. Hood and Marie Patton on the prestigious award and for the record year in their Indiana territory. B & H Industrial has now been inscribed on the Merwin Award plaque currently displayed in the Progress Center at Eriez Headquarters.

According to Vice President Charlie Ingram, “A member of the Eriez family for 48 years, B & H Industrial Products has always represented Eriez in a manner consistent with the premise of the Merwin Award.” Annually, winners are picked because; in additional to superior sales performance, they consistently use the Golden Rule as a guide. They are lauded for providing customers with high quality service and support, and for striving to conduct their affairs in an efficient, capable and friendly manner.

Founding partner Bob Braund was already working for Paller Engineering of Indianapolis for more than a year when they became Eriez reps in 1956. His son-in-law, Darrell came aboard in 1974. B & H was founded in 1976, and the two bought the Eriez contract from Paller. Kevin Hood, Darrell’s son, joined the firm in 2000 when his grandfather, Bob, retired. In accepting the award, B & H Industrial president Darrell Hood said, “We take great pride in accepting the Merwin award this year as only one of the many fine Eriez representative organizations. This honor should also recognize the many people within the Eriez family, from the sales and related departments who provide the field with direction, laboratory and R&D areas and the factory workers who build the quality Eriez products that go out the door.”
